The grown ewes we sell in our opinion have not been bred to death. We do not leave our ram
with the ewes 24/7. We breed our ewes in Oct. (ram removed in Dec.)and all the lambs are born in
March. They raise their lambs till June and have a 4 month rest till Oct. when they are bred
again. The lambs we decide to keep for our breeding program aren't bred for the first time till
they are at least a year old. We have a few older ewes (12 yrs. old) we are still using and
producing nice big healthy lambs from.
Our 4 year old ewes have only been in service for 3 years and may have only had 3 lambs total in
that 3 years.
